As we move forward in the final quarter of the year, we reflect on the big events of 2023 – be it the tumultuously start, with the release of Prince Harrys book ‘Spare’ to Nasa’s announcement of their planned first trip to the moon in over 50 years. Prince Charles becoming King, Elton John headlining at Glastonbury & subsequently ending his touring career. Collins Dictionary announcing “AI” as the most notable word of the year and Harry Styles’ album “Harry’s House” lit up the music scene earning him the Grammy Award for Album of the Year.
Well, that’s ‘Harry’s House’ but what happened for Auction House Sussex & Hampshire in 2023?
We’ve had a very positive year, yes, there have been economic challenges for the property market but thanks to our database of 8,000+ applicants, our experience as one of the largest property auctioneers in the Southeast of England delivering consistently high sale results, we expanded into timed on-line National Auctions to offer flexibility to our clients, and we increased our business presence acquiring Auction House Hampshire.
We were also delighted to see Adam Hinchliffe – Auction Department Manager take up his position as Partner at Austin Gray LLP – heading up the Auction & Private Treaty Department – with his client focused approach we are excited to see how we as a business will move forward in 2024.
We are now preparing our auction lots for 2024 – our first auction takes place on January 25th with Stewart Gray at the rostrum & with weekly timed auctions every Tuesday – we’re excited to see what 2024 has in store and to continue to deliver for our clients.
If you have a property to sell and the pace of the auction contract is what you’re looking for with a standard 28-day completion, do get in touch and get 2024 off to an exciting start!!!!!
Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year from the team at Auction House Sussex & Hampshire and Austin Gray LLP.
